Go to the following sites and answer the questions on the accompanying worksheet.
Site 1: Hartwick site (http://www.hartwick.edu/envirsci/Acidrain.html)
Site 2: The EPA Sourcebook on Acid Rain (http://www.epa.gov/students/acid_rain_sourcebook_us.htm) Go through through the menu from Introduction to What Can Be Done; skip Experiments and Activities; then go to the pH Map.
Site 2: USGS acid rain page (http://btdqs.usgs.gov/acidrain/arfs.html) At this site, you should explore other links except Enormous quantities of manmade etc. - it takes forever to load and it's just a picture of a dirty smokestack. You can also skip quality-assurance experiments.
