Teacher Notes
Hints for the teacher:
- Time Frame:
Steps 1-3 of the Process should take 1-2 days, depending on the level of
your students.
Steps 4-7 of the Process should take 1-2 days.
Steps 8-9 are at the teacher's discretion. We suggest that the students
check the values of their investments at least once every two weeks, for
a period of twelve weeks.
Steps 10-13 should take 1-3 days, after the 12-week period has ended.
- We suggest that you print and photocopy a hard copy of the Process
for each group or student, along with a copy of each student's role worksheet.
- There are several Products suggested for this WebQuest. The teacher
may assign or not assign any of these Products.
- The graphs can be done by hand or using a program like Microsoft's
Excel.
- Regarding Assessment:
The teacher should decide whether to grade students individually or as
a group, or a combination of both.
The teacher could be responsible for all of the assessment, or the students
could assess each other's work.
If you use all of the rubrics provided, that will account for a total of
90 points. But no rubric is provided for the role worksheets or the T-table.
You may wish to make these two products worth a total of 10 points, for
a total of 100.
