GAMBLER
Welcome to the world of high investing. The Gambler chooses the riskiest form of investing. The Gambler will invest in the Stock Market. In the Stock Market you will purchase individual shares of individual companies. Investments in singular companies are the riskiest because your investment is limited to how that one company performs. Caution must be taken to make sure you are choosing companies that have a history of performing well. I have selected 15 companies for you to choose from.

Before you choose your companies to invest in, you will need to do some background research on the Stock Market. Use the following links to answer the following questions on the "Gambler Worksheet".

CHOOSING A STOCK
To choose stocks to purchase, you will want to access background information on the stocks you are interested in and then get a price quote for your purchase. The following links will give you quotes and background information on each stock by typing in the company code which is given following each company in the above list.

PURCHASING STOCKS
You may purchase as many of the 15 stocks listed above in any quantity you choose. There is a $10 commission fee per stock for each purchase. An example would be: 100 shares of Disney Stock will cost market price at the time of purchase (at this time Disney stock is $106 per share) times 100 plus the brokerage fee $10. The total cost of the transaction will be $10610.
The Gambler's purpose will be to advise your group on choosing a stock or stocks and choosing a dollar amount to invest in each stock area. The length of your investment is 12 weeks. Upon choosing the stock you will be required to keep track of how your stock performs each week on a chart and create a graph at the end of the 12 weeks to explain the performance.
